|
The Help Our multi-generational company consists of four licensed auctioneers, one licensed appraiser, one broker and five real estate agents. Agent email addresses are listed below.
Doug Smith and his wife, Helen opened our company's doors almost 35 years ago. Together, they lived on their Harrison Township land for most of their lives. Helen died of cancer on November 29, 2004. They and their sons, Eric and Todd, have established a company that has become a part of the local landscape. Time will tell if Eric and Michelle's two young sons , Alex and Kyle or Todd and Alasyn's daughter, Abi, will join us later. Doug is currently serving as a Licking County Commissioner after serving 26 years as a Harrison Township Trustee in Licking County. He completed an unprecedented 15 year stint as a member and chairman of the Ohio Auctioneers Commission in 2006, a governor-appointed panel that serves as a liaison between the auction profession and the Ohio Department of Agriculture. An acknowledged authority on the National Road (U.S. Rt. 40) in Ohio, he co-authored the award-winning book, "A Traveler's Guide to the Historic National Road in Ohio" in 2005 and is a popular National Road speaker and tour guide. Doug has over 700 published works to his credit.
Todd Smith, like his older brother Eric, has grown up around auctions. He received his auctioneer and real estate licenses in 1994, and his real estate appraiser license in 2001. Much of his time is devoted to mortgage appraisal work. Todd, his wife Alasyn, and their daughter, Abigail, live on their family farm in Perry County, Ohio.
